LET'S TALK ABOUT GRAVITY FALLS! It's a new Disney Channel cartoon that started airing in the summer. I know I just used the words "Disney Channel" in a show recommendation for you and this may or may not alarm you. Stick with me here. Have courage. Have faith.
Anyway, this is a delightful, delightful show. It chronicles the ~wacky adventures of twins Mabel and Dipper Pines who are working for their great uncle (Grunkle) Stan at his shady magic shop over the summer. It's got the feel of Adventure Time meets Twin Peaks meets X-Files (kind of). I was initially skeptical, but it's pretty damn good. It's really smart and clever and hilarious. If this makes a difference, Mabel is voiced by Kristen Schaal so there's that.
There are just around 8 episodes out right now, so it'll be nearing the end of its first season by the time you get back. The episodes are quick and I think you'd like it if you gave it a shot. They're all episodic so you don't need to worry too much about continuity. If you want to try out an episode if you're ~skeptical, try Dipper vs Manliness because I was like weeping from laughter and I suck at feeling joy and laughing out loud in general.
