Depending on how adverse you are to awkwardly filmed HBO sex and nudity, you may or may not want to watch Game of Thrones. It has a pretty strong first season (2nd season was meh) but also it's hip w/ the hip kids right now if you feel like watching it even if you don't here's a video of a cat singing the theme song:

Have you seen any Wes Anderson movies? If you haven't you should watch all of them because they are great and I own them all. Moonrise Kingdom is his latest film and it is wonderful! So you should watch it.

I feel like this spiderman was really great? Possibly because Tobey Maguire was not in it at all. So watch it someday maybe.

LET'S TALK ABOUT GRAVITY FALLS! It's a new Disney Channel cartoon that started airing in the summer. I know I just used the words "Disney Channel" in a show recommendation for you and this may or may not alarm you. Stick with me here. Have courage. Have faith.

Anyway, this is a delightful, delightful show. It chronicles the ~wacky adventures of twins Mabel and Dipper Pines who are working for their great uncle (Grunkle) Stan at his shady magic shop over the summer. It's got the feel of Adventure Time meets Twin Peaks meets X-Files (kind of). I was initially skeptical, but it's pretty damn good. It's really smart and clever and hilarious. If this makes a difference, Mabel is voiced by Kristen Schaal so there's that.

There are just around 8 episodes out right now, so it'll be nearing the end of its first season by the time you get back. The episodes are quick and I think you'd like it if you gave it a shot. They're all episodic so you don't need to worry too much about continuity. If you want to try out an episode if you're ~skeptical, try Dipper vs Manliness because I was like weeping from laughter and I suck at feeling joy and laughing out loud in general.

Breaking Bad

I'm not 100% sure if you had seen any Breaking Bad before your mission or not; it's possible that you have! If so, good. Because this show is awesome and incredible and not too long! Season 4 is one of the best executed seasons of tv I've ever seen. SO if you haven't seen it, watch it. Share with me your feelings on Jesse Pinkman. The last season begins in July, but the second half won't air until 2013, so you've got plenty of time to catch up!

THE LEGEND OF KORRA

okay first off I don't know if you've seen Avatar: The Last Airbender. maybe you could watch it sometime but anyway this post is about  ~*THE LEGEND OF KORRA*~.  It's the sister series to Avatar, set like 80 years after everything in ATLA happened

EDITED TO ADD: okay the first season is finished and the first few episodes were awesome but the rest of it wasn't as strong, but I think they'll get their shit together by season two. It's definitely worth a watch and there are only 12 episodes so it's relatively quick. 

oh yeah and watch Sherlock series 2
